ILLNESS

The goal of this illness policy is to enable all the children attending the Center to participate while healthy and not struggling through their session or contaminating other children or adults.  It is our policy that the child cannot attend therapy if they have any health issue that is contagious or if the child did not go to school because they will ill that morning.

Don't know if your child should miss a session?  Please take their temperature to see if they have 100 degree or more fever and read through additional information below under Suspicion of Infectious Illness/Disease

  • If you child misses more than 5 consecutive sessions we ask that your child obtain a physician's clearance before returning.
  • If your child misses more than 30% of their sessions in a given month because of sickness we may also ask that your child obtain a physician's clearance before returning.

In case of contagious illnesses, the child cannot return to therapy until parents obtain a written statement from the child’s doctor that the child is free of a contagious illness and may return to therapy.
